DYNAMO Workspace for Circus and Performing Arts

DYNAMO Workspace for Circus and Performing Arts, in short DYNAMO is located in the harbor of Odense, Denmark in an old factory building.

Dynamo was founded in 2017 by two circus artist, who personally felt the need for creation space. Our purpose is to sustain professional circus and performing arts throughout the entire spectrum; idea, research, experimentation, creation, presenting and touring. Being founded by artists, we have a clear understanding of what artists need, and the sustainable life of circus artists is our main concern.

Our house is build on the values of DIY but DIT (Do it together) and Show it – Don’t tell it. As a project funded house without overhead funding, we rely on creative and sustainable solutions as a necessity for us, not just to evolve but to survive, making these values a vital part of our DNA.

Our main acitivities concists of

• Artistic residencies with public work in progress presentations and audience feedback. We host aprox. 20 of these pr. year.
• Our artistic annual program of guest performances, that contains aprox. 30 guest performances pr. year.
• Our annual circus festival, that contains aprox. 8 different shows pr. year.
• Our Co-productions of which we present 2-4 pr. year.

All activities are provided for both local and international artists.
